Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project is the well-known power plant and a proposed project of Nuclear Power Corporation of India. Once built, it will be the largest nuclear power generating station. The project comprises of six European pressurized reactors each with a capacity of 1650 MW. These reactors are considered to be the third-generation pressurized water reactors.

Kovvada Nuclear Power Plant Kovvadu Nuclear Power Plant is the proposed light and water nuclear power reactors. The plant is proposed to be set at Kovvada in Srikakulam district. According to the proposed plan, six 1000 MW light water nuclear power reactors need to be built. However, there are many political parties and leaders who are opposing the power plant construction owing to safety issues.
